I have a specialist interest in canine sports performance and specifically agility dogs. My work in the NHS specialising in musculoskeletal physiotherapy has given me an excellent clinical base to transfer these musculoskeletal skills over to our canine athletes. I treat agility dogs of all levels from puppies to championship dogs competing internationally. I offer:
My clinics are run from H20 Canine Therapy which is behind Willowbrook Garden Centre near Wellington, TA21 9HX and Cave Vet Specialists, Georges Farm, West Buckland, TA21 9LE. I also run clinics from Taunton, Cullompton, Bridgwater and Ilminster so please contact me to find the nearest clinic for you.
I am very proud to sponsor Bonny Quick (www.bonnyquick.com), an exceptional agility handler who has competed internationally with great success. Her interest in canine performance and the wellbeing of her dogs being paramount has forged both a friendship and an exciting combination of expertise. This has culminated in WIN Agility, a new take on agility, using an analysis driven approach incorperating slow motion video analysis and accurate timing to within one hundreth of a second using specialist timing equipment. We run days on a monthly basis, more information can be found on facebook (search WIN agility) and the website will be ready soon. These days offer an excellent opportunity to get measurable data that will help you make SMART goals and optimise your performance.
I provided the physiotherapy services for the 2015 IFCS GB agility team at the IFCS World Championships in Italy. This was a great experience and I relished the opportunity of working with some excellent dogs and handlers. I now work with the Kennel Club Agility Team GB on a permanent basis helping to develop the squad and the team for the EO's and the World Championships.
Being a specialist musculoskeletal human physiotherapist I treat people as well, there is no point in getting your dog super fast if your can't keep up! If you have ignored that niggling ache or pain or you just want to optimise your fitness and strength then book a session for yourself. I treat a range of injuries from acute ankle injuries to chronic back pain and can also help you with injury prevention and core strength work.
